My wife a green card holder. We have adopted her niece, the adopted awarded by the courts in her country.  Currently we are applying for my wifies US citizenship (N-440).  With adding the child on the N-400, after my wife becomes a US citizen, will the child become a US Citizen?  Or what is are next step?

On what basis is she able to naturalise.

I would mention the child, do you have future plans for the child to immigrate to the US.

What I want to no is, my wife has our adopt child listed on her N-400.  If she has been the process, become a US citizen, can the child, immediately because US naturalized citizen?
