The only thing that endangers Swift being at Allegiant Stadium when the Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 is her “Eras Tour” schedule. She has concerts set for Tokyo on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10, but the time difference would allow her to be on hand for the game.

As for the travel plans of her Kansas City-based fans: American Airlines added a flight from Kansas City to Las Vegas on Feb. 10, the day before the Super Bowl, at 12:30 p.m. local time — flight 1989 for Swift’s birth year and one of her albums. After the game, flight 87 — Kelce’s jersey number — leaves Las Vegas for Kansas City at 12:20 a.m. local time on Feb. 12.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I suppose it really doesn't matter except of course to the DM which runs way to many stories on this topic.

FWIW, I will most likely be missing the Superbowl myself.  I just wanted to let everyone know.

Are you playing a gig in Japan?

I have not been to the DM for sometime, I have watched a few Kansas games in the Brewery and there is a collective moan when they cut to Taylor everytime Kelsey touches the ball. There are quite a few Kansas supporters in Colorado aka Swifties. Excellent wind up.

Nothing on the calendar in Japan in the near future, but hey, she gains a day coming from Japan to Vegas.  Also, I suspect she will be on a private plane with decent comfort, so I suspect she will not have any problems getting to the game.  I don't watch much NFL football, although I watched more this year than in a long time since the Lions were actually doing well, but I really don't care who the camera pans to after a play is completed.

A private plane is not going to save the planet.

I supported Detroit on Sunday, we nearly moved there when I was 7.

Sort of reminded me when we were away to Man Utd and Beckham would warm up on the touchline below the away supporters, there is a song we sung...

WAGs do not seem so much a thing in American Football.

You need to calm down: Taylor Swift can fly from Tokyo to Super Bowl in time, says Japan embassy

Singer should be able to see boyfriend Travis Kelce in person despite 17-hour time change and 12-hour flight, embassy says

Japan’s embassy in Washington has assured an angsty public that Taylor Swift should make it to the Super Bowl in time to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce play in the big game – as long as her post-concert flight from Tokyo leaves on time.

The embassy’s Friday statement answered a question weighing on the minds of the pop star’s multitude of fans, who wondered if it was even logistically possible for her to be in position to cheer on Kelce in person as he seeks a third NFL championship with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Grammys 2024: Taylor Swift makes history with best album award

Coverage on Sunday where I am starts at 6am I assume this will include tracking her plane.

Interestingly NPR did a hit piece this afternoon.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Apparently the biggest issue she will have is finding a place to park her plane relatively close to Vegas.  Although I suspect she, or more precisely her people, either already planned for the potential, or are strong-arming airports as we speak.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell welcomes the ‘Taylor Swift Effect’ with open arms

https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/06/sport/taylor-swift-roger-goodell-nfl-spt-intl/index.html

Swift has attended 12 games this season in support of boyfriend Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, in the process creating legions of new NFL fans.

The Chiefs’ victory over the Baltimore Ravens on January 28 drew over 55 million viewers, the most ever for an AFC Championship game, according to CBS Sports.

Prior to that, the playoff game between the Chiefs and the Bills was the most-watched divisional playoff game in history with over 50 million viewers, CBS said.

When asked about huge recent viewing numbers and the perceived “Taylor Swift effect,” Goodell chuckled.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
