What bag can I bring to the Visa Interview?

Apologies if this is not in the right section.

 

I have booked my visa appointment for March today in London, and my appointment is in the morning so I am staying over night at a hotel. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of what they can bring to the appointment - am I allowed to bring a backpack with my clothes/makeup/toiletries in or is this forbidden?

The website states that i cannot bring anything over the size of cabin luggage but I just want to make sure as I don't want to be turned away.

 

My appointment is at 11am and usually check outs for hotels etc is at midday so I would be bringing my bag with me.

Leave your bag and the hotel. Most hotels have this service or talk to the manager. 

 

Or pay an extra night.

They only let you take a small bag (like a handbag/purse sized) plus they’re very strict on liquids incl make up etc. MUCH more strict than even a plane (I think 1/3 size of what you’re allowed on plane. I remember seeing maybe 30ml?). 
 

As previously said, why risk it/create a problem. Leave at hotel left luggage and you’ll have no issue at all.
