Options on filling I751

Hello everyone, currently I am still married and living together (we were married and living outside of the US for 1 year after we moved to the US and we have been here for about a year and a couple of months) but my wife is changing her mind, she does not want the marriage anymore. Today she said she wanted a divorce. Because we are in good condition, she offered her help so I could get my 10-year Green Card. She said it is best, even to stay married until we fill for I751 this summer, and after that, we can get divorced. What are my current and best options on this issue?
Also, we had a normal marriage, no kids, great salaries, both together 200k+, and we are currently renting an apartment together.
Thanks.

I hope you realize this is considered immigration fraud. There's no "help" needed. You can removed conditions as a married person together or divorced person on your own. Playing games of staying married for the sole purpose of I-751 is a very bad idea.

The best option, if marriage is beyond repair is to file for divorce, and apply for I-751 with divorce waiver. If your wife is nice and friendly as you say, she'll cooperate with getting divorced ASAP and can write a nice affidavit describing your relationship in details and reasons why you divorced. Then say in that affidavit  she doesn't object you getting conditions removed. She can also help gathering all the evidence to support your marriage was entered in good faith.

If you're in a state where divorce can be finalized quickly, don't hesitate and move on. If the love is still there, you can remarry later.

The biggest issues are:

- Either you commit fraud by staying married for immigration

- Or she changes her mood and starts threatening you with various things while I-751 is pending. Keep in mind, it can take 2-4 years nowadays to remove conditions. Do you want to live in stress for all these years?

Thank you, I was thinking this is not a good solution either.

Thank you I thought this was not a good solution either, it is better to be clear, because the marriage was genuine anyway.

Give her the divorce.

File i-751 with divorce waiver. As long as you entered marriage in good faith, you should have no issues

On other hand dont mess with uscis , it will haunt decades later. Always stay honest with the intentions, you have nothing to be fearful

duh
