Hello and congratulations on finally being asked to come back in for a second interview. I'm not sure if it's common but my advice would be to very honest about your relationship with the officer. Everything you think they don't know they already know because they have records of everything. What they really look for is whether you are honest about your relationship and have a strong, bonafide relationship together. Showing assets or commingling of your finances is also very helpful so ensure you also have these to show that you've started building a life together. Best of luck!

We already had our interview and were 110% honest in our answers. Just now waiting for further instructions from them..

Hello @Moda25 when you submitted the passport back to the embassy how long after did it take you to finally get the passport back? We got a 221g which asked us to submit the passport when they request it which we did 2 days ago. Just wondering when we'd get it back with visa in hand?

@Resilient111 You have to wait to see it issued in CAEC first. My husband’s visa was issued on Thursday and we received a notification from the embassy on Friday that they had sent the package to the mailing company. The company delayed the delivery; they kept changing the date so he received the passport in hand on the following Wednesday.

Thank you so much for your response. Yes I know that you have to wait for the status to change the issues but what I'm asking is how long did it take from the time you submitted the passport to the time it changed to issued? 

 

We submitted my passport but the status still says refused and it hasn't updated. So just wondering timelines.

@Resilient111 If it hasn’t updated, it might mean they haven’t received the passport yet. That mailing company is the worse. Did you track to see if it has been delivered yet? My husband submitted the passport on Thursday and the embassy received it on Monday and we saw an update on Monday. However, we saw “issued” on Thursday.

Hello, yes it was delivered on 31 December and the date was updated but status still showed refused. Hoping next week the status changes then. Thank you so much for sharing your timeline with me.

@Resilient111 oh okay. If the date was updated, then they have it. It might take a while for it to be issued. Hopefully, they do that next week. All the best to you.
