I think the non immigrant visa does not get the issued status. They get approved status and receive their passport in the mail. I would again highly recommend to check with the mailing agency to track the passport…

Mine went from AP to issued, AP is standard for after approval, basically last minute checks before the visa is printed. Mine was only in AP for about 2 hours before it changed to issued, it is usually pretty quick.

@M S Khan I think everyone is different. Most people move from Refused > Administrative Processing > Issued.

For ours, it changed from Refused> Issued.  However, yours shouldn’t stay at Administrative Processing for long.

Hi. I had my interview on 8 January and was approved. My ceac case status is ready since the interview. They have updated the case 3 times and the last update was yesterday (22 January). Anyone who had the interview in January and have received their passport, please update.

 

Leaving my case details here for others as they have discussed cases from Pakistan.

 

i am a Pakistani national. Got married in the UK in March 2023 when i was a student. Had my interview in January 2025 and was approved. Now waiting for my passport to be delivered.

Sorry to hear that. What status is it showing at the moment on ceac?

@Moda25 @appleblossom Our status continued to be administrative processing. Are there instances where they can take more than a business days to issue a visa?

What does “Case Last Updated:”  date showing? I have been reading lot of forums. Most people status changes from approved to issued the very next day but if there is an issue in printing, adjudicating officer has to look at it again in couple weeks before it prints. The most I think it will take two weeks for you..

Hey @RBS I am in a similar situation. H1B visa awaiting additional administrative processing. It’s a pretty tough place to be. My interview was on 10 Jan 2025. After the interview of 5-7 minutes, he handed me my documents and passport with the white 221g slip. No additional documents requested. He also held on to my approval notice. Please any information you have will be much appreciated. Thanks
