Is this London consulate? Which visa category? Please fill in your timeline.

 

If it’s only changed to approved on 17th January then it’s just too soon to be expecting anything, it’s only been 2 working days (remember Monday was a holiday so consulate was closed).

Previous Stampings: This is 4th H1B stamping with the same role and employer (MNC).
CAEC Status: Shows "Refused," with the case created a couple of days before the interview.
No documents requested after the interview, and passport was returned.
No previous 221gs

 

Jan 15th Received email to submit passport for visa processing. 
Jan 16th Passport delivered to embassy
Jan 17th Morning Status on ceac changed to administrative processing
Jan 17th Evening Status on ceac changed to approved

I have seen lot of people whose status changed from approved to issued the next working day. Since it’s been 2 working days, I am starting to worry. My 2 year old is in the US with my wife. Trying to reunite as soon as possible

OK. I really wouldn’t worry, there’s probably just a bit of a backlog with the 3 day weekend.

You should sign in here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/account and should be able to track your passport. They should have a tracking number there for you to track the passport. Sign in from computer instead of mobile so you can see the full screen and the tracking number …

Just wanted to tell you that our case status changed today to administrative processing from refusal. I guess we are one step closer…

If the passport was only received on 16th January it’s probably still sitting in a pile of mail waiting to be opened, they’ll be working their way through after the long weekend and I’m sure it will change to issued soon. What does does it show for your case last being updated?

 

The only thing to check is that Trump hasn’t made any changes to H1B’s? I’ve seen some of his immigration orders but not sure I’ve seen a H1B one, but just double check that - your company’s lawyers will know.

Ceac website did not change to issued from approved . Stuck in approved status since Friday

I wonder if there is a difference between approved and issued. Under approval what text do you see?

Yes, there is. Issued means the visa has actually been printed and is in the passport ready to be returned.
