That's a good sign - means they're looking at it and if there have been several unsolicited updates I'd expect a request to redo the medical soon.

Good luck.

I hope that’s true. It’s has been 6 months now 😢

Not fun but AP was pretty much inevitable with a Pakistani applicant that's transferred to another consulate unfortunately.

I really hope you hear soon, I'm sure you will.

@M S Khan That could be a good sign. We stopped checking for my husband’s at a point so I don’t know the number of updates we had before they requested for a new medical. However, when he received the email and I checked, there had been an update that same day. London is known to be a faster consulate and tries to complete AP within 6 months so you are close. It could be that the delay was from her home country. Some of the countries have bad records keeping and are slow to respond to other consulate enquirers. All the best to you guys.

You are right but I think it’s also luck. A Pakistani couple had their interview on Dec 2nd and he got the visa email on Dec 3rd. Just in one day.

It's not luck, there's always a specific reason for it. How long had your wife lived in London? Perhaps the other couple had lived there a much longer time so less non-UK background to check.

My wife have been there since Jan 2024. This other couple, the husband just moved in Sept. got his interview on Dec 2nd, got AP to submit his old expired passport copy by email and when he did, the next day he got approved. But you are right. There may be something specific about our case. But in anyway, I hope when we hear, it’s a good news than a bad news. Not looking for a bad news after waiting all those years.

@M S Khan yes, because he got his passport back and the medical had expired so we knew there was no way anything would be done without they contacting him first. I felt nervous anytime I went to check so I stopped.

@M S Khan Yes, visa was issued last month May 23. Thanks for asking.

@Moda25 so it took you approximately 6 months to finally be approved and get visa in hand? We are in a similar situation so just checking on timelines. Congratulations to you and yours!!

@Resilient111 yes, our case took a little to 6 months after the interview before we heard from the embassy to redo the medicals. But the visa was issued after 6 months and a week.
