Last name change to Husband’s when N400

Hi All,

I am planning to change my last name to my husband’s when applying N400.

 

Currently have my maiden name on both marriage certificate and green card.

 

in this case, my name change will get approved by Judge and get the name change certification when oath? Or it would be the admin change since i am changing it to my husband’s last name?

 

Read posts that it was admin work and no Judge’s approval is required but I am not sure if it applies the same even though my marriage license still has my maiden name?

 

please share if you have experience the same!

It should just be an administrative name change. Assuming your husband's last name is a simple matter and not need a court order.
