Expiring medical soon after Interview. Can she travel to Guam and return after Interview?

My wife has her Interview on Jan 18. She passed her medical which was in August and expires on February 7th. She had to wait 2 months for a sputum test.

 

1. Is there enough time if she has the Interview on Jan 18 for her to fly out? 

 

2. Can she fly to Guam and return to Phils to get her passport stamped? 

 

The reason is we didn't expect that she would have to leave by Feb 7th and we want a little more time for her to setting things. She has a small business and is training her sister to take over. Also, Ideally I'd like her to arrive in the Spring into in the middle of Winter. Any ideas?

The visa expiration date will likely match the medical expiration date, and travel must commence before the visa expires.  Guam is a POE, but once she goes through there, the K-1 would not be valid if she returned to the Philippines and attempted to exit a 2nd time using the K-1.  It is single use.

 

Flying out by the Feb 7th with an interview on Jan 18th is possible but cutting it pretty close.  She has to wait for visa delivery and then attend CFO.  How long the visa delivery takes depends on where it will be delivered.  Once those are clear she is free to travel.

He says wife, so must not be a K1 fiancee visa.  No problem at all, but the visa stamp of importance is the one in Guam, not the one she gets when she returns to the Philippines.

No problem to activate the visa January 18 in Guam. The passport stamp of importance is the one in Guam.  She should return to the USA within the timeframe closer to spring than winter though.  Short trip in followed by more than 6 months out  can be problematic.

Thanks for the info. But I wonder if she would have a problem at the POE if they ask why she's in Guam when her husband lives in NYC? I don't want to take any risk.

Why would that even be an issue?   Women travel independently all over the world, every day.

They might ask.  If they do, the truth is what she tells them.  She's doing nothing wrong.  There's a big sign above where you show your passport that says, "Welcome to the United States of America". 

 

I did something similar/backwards, 18 months ago, when I made a turnaround in Guam, to restart my 3 year tourist timeline in the Philippines.  Got right back on the same plane and sat in the same seat two and a half hours later.
