Hi all,

I am filling out the I-864 (for adjustment of status of K1) as a sponsor.

I am recently self-employed / working as an independent contractor and I get paid weekly. This income puts me well above the poverty guidelines. I have proof of paystubs, a signed contract, and a letter from my client stating our current business engagement.

However, my most recent tax transcript (2022) that I will be including in the i-864 packet does not include any Schedule C income (only W2 income).

Despite my current self-employed income exceeding the poverty guidelines, should I still include proof of assets to further back up that I have sufficient income/assets to sponsor my husband? I only ask because I worry I will be more scrutinized using my self-employed income.

Looking for help. Thank you.
