Hi there

I am looking for guidance ,I want to import my Honda pilot 2016 while moving on immigrant visa.Can somebody tell me what documents will i need for car on the border.I Had a car loan that is paid off.

I have been reading previous threads that mentioned compliance letter i was not sure if every car needs that or some particular manufacturers?And do i need to pay any import tax too?

You must contact American Honda at their toll-free number, 1-800-999-1009, and request a "Compliance Letter". Have your VIN ready as American Honda will require it in order to provide the letter.

 

and yes,  

How much is import tax on a car in USA?
2.5 % of declared value for passenger cars,

I have contacted the customer care it seem like it will take time I was wondering if I can go in my car activate my visa and then import my car while moving my other household stuff with a u haul few weeks latter ..do u think it's possible?
