Hi to All! Can you help with some questions I have regarding EAD? Thanks!

#1. In reading the posts here, it seems that JFK is the only POE that is still routinely providing the EAD stamp on arrival.

-Are there any other POEs that still do that?

-Does JFK ALWAYS do that if requested?

#2. Other than the length of validity, is the temporary EAD Stamp that the POE provides the same thing as the EAD one gets subsequent to AOS filing (assuming the EAD 'option' was requested as part of the AOS filing).

- Specifically, is this EAD stamp that is acquired at the POE the same EAD that so many states seem to require for applying/receiving a Driver's License?

- Is the POE provided EAD actually a Stamp in the Passport or is it a seperate piece of Paper or a notation on the I-94 or ??

Thanks for your help!

TinTin and Samby,

#1. Houston airport has been to, and the 2 land crossings between Canada and Detroit have been known to. "Always" is a rather absolute word, there are certain to be exceptions.

#2. You will understand better if you think of the full words rather than the acronym. An EAD by definition is a USCIS-issued Document that confirms that a person is Employment Authorized by the USCIS.
