ROC - October 2022

N400 - October 2023.

Got scheduled for Citizenship interview in a few weeks. Requested to make it a combo interview.

Now waiting for the interview. Just a quick question, are we allowed to take our 16 month old with us? Or should we look for family to look after him during our interview time?

Having been through a combo interview with wife (who is now a citizen), I would not take a young child. All of your attention needs to be on the 2 parts of the interview.  Just my 2 cents.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

page 6 says who is allowed at your interview

looking thru google attorneys say

Do not bring your children/

look to google for answers and what the various lawyers say

Reading thru posts some offices did allow children and had a small play area (Chicago office)  but covid pretty much limited who could go where and when and the child may not even be let in
