Can I get child tax credit

I came back to the United States from Japan this October. Before October 2023, I worked in Japan for many years. I've always used Form 2555 to exclude owing taxes to the United States.

Once I got back to the United States, I started working right away in a local company near where I live. If I'm right, I would use Form 2555 for my physical presence test from October 2022 to October 2023 to exclude any taxes from what I earned in Japan. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

My wife and I has a child together. Since I'm working for a local company now and I pay US taxes, can I claim my son as a dependent and get child tax credit and also using Form 2555 to exclude my income I earned in Japan?
