Filed I-130 petition for Parents 10 Months ago. No Response& Still Waiting

I filed Petition I 130 for my parents in March 2023 and still haven't received any approval from USCIS or the next steps. On the USCIS site, when I check the status it says "Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action." Can someone please help me understand how long it usually takes to get through the process? Is there anywhere I can check what's the latest and when I can expect the petition to be approved, case to be submitted for review, medical, etc...

Please help.

Perfectly normal, that daft online timeline is notoriously unreliable so ignore it completely! 14 months is what the processing times page is currently showing for 80% of cases. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

As to overall timing, that will depend on the consulate, some have longer waits for interviews than others.

Good luck.

Thanks for your response. Would you know if this indicates that it will take 14 months to get the petition approved? And then it will require additional time for Interviews, Medical, etc...   OR this is the end-to-end timing to have them come to the United States.

No, that’s just the petition, the first step. Then they have to apply for the actual visas, which is the second step.

I filed in January of last year and got approved at the end of last month; almost exactly 11 months.

they just got done or just finishing processing and approving JAN 2023 I-130 for parents. I'm sure you'll probably hear a response from them may Feb or March.

Same. We filed in late December of 2022 and were approved early December of 2023. So, about 11 months. At one point we had the same “your case is taking longer than expected” message as many have gotten.

Hi, I also applied for my parents with receipt date of March 20th, I have the same message displaying on the USCIS portal - it seems that more and more of the people that applied in Feb 2023 are getting their NOA2 approvals these days, so hopefully another month I'm hoping for the I-130 approval. Best of luck! hopefully sooner than later cause the rest of the process is also lengthy. I have also created a topic for the March 2023 filers separately so everyone follows and adds their input from the same timeline.
