Please leave soon and do not overstay this visit.

When I had ESTA previously, I stayed for 85days, left for 6mths and came back for another 85days. I was truthful when asked in my second visit that I was planning to get married, apply for spousal visa, travel and then leave  before my 90 days as I am fully law abiding. So… be truthful, don’t overstay and show reasons why you won’t “break the law”.

It is not just about breaking the law. A CBP officer can determine that a foreigner is abusing an ESTA by visiting so long and so often. They can be denied entry  and sent back home which is what the OP is worried about.

They don't have to break the law to be denied entry.

That’s why it was in inverted commas, “breaking the law”. It is a reference to the spirit of keeping to ESTA’s criteria that one enters for business or pleasure, and does not overstay. Not to be taken literally breaking a law.

From my multiple visits over last 20 years on ESTA (prior to meeting my husband), CBP appreciates when one can articulate their understanding of the VWP program, display a return air ticket confirmation, have a good reason for visiting and means ($$) to support the trip.

Biggest point is do not overstay! My outgoing flight is always on 85th day or earlier, in case of any natural disaster, airport closure, flight delays, which might cause me to overstay by no fault of my own.

It’s me just a second account because I maxed out on the other one. I don’t plan to overstay. I don’t want to have troubles in the future knowing that I want to start K1/CR1 (haven’t decided yet) in the future. I’m leaning towards December now and maybe my bf will see me in my country this year too. But I have really bad anxiety about it and I’m generally terrified of CBP. I don’t know if 11 months between visits is enough. IF I’ll be denied entry that automatically cancels immigration visas? I assume yes but not sure.

Don't have any messages on your phone that could be construed as plans to stay, also don't overpack and bring a lot of luggage. We've seen both such cases on VJ were people were turned away for such reasons.

Also a thing that always been wondering since I’ve been reading about CBP. Does deleting apps prevent them from accessing the content? I thought I’ll ask because I’m genuinely curious what resources do they have

11 months between visits is enough. No need to be terrified of CBP, it is just common sense.

No, a denied entry on your Esta (for suspected immigrant intent) will not have a negative impact on a future immigrant visa application, so you can still do a K1 or CR1 in the future

I know it’s common sense but I think developed extreme anxiety around it. I’m scared now even though it’s not today or not tomorrow or in a month. But I’m hoping 11 months will be reasonable but my second worry is that due what I did this time they won’t believe me I won’t prolong my stay and send me right back into a plane

Don't worry too much. Wait a few months and then do shorter trips. Don't overstay. We also met in Canada, etc. And be truthful you are meeting your bf

I have no idea, the only cases I've seen on VJ were they took the person's phone and scrolled through messages and existing apps.

Is your fear based on your actual experience visiting the US so far, or is it coming from somewhere else?

I’ve had over 12 visits before I moved to the US, more than half of them were while I had an immigrant visa pending.

This level of anxiety is not healthy. Maybe you are young, maybe you are an anxious person, but try to calm down. Continue to build strong ties to your home country, continue your relationship with your boyfriend and just keep going strong.

Yeah I know it’s not healthy. I’ll see a professional. Its always something I read on Reddit and Reddit being really negative about it. I made similar post and person goes that they won’t believe me so I spiral. I’m 22 going on 23. I’ll try to calm down and enjoy the rest of time with my partner

I know, I saw your post on Reddit and I am glad that you changed your mind and are not going to rush into something that I didn’t think was a good plan considering the circumstances.

Come here for moral support and common sense, and use Reddit for funny cat videos or other things that make you happy 😁

That wasn’t a good idea I think it’s a grief leaving my partner behind. I want to do it right way. Maybe I’ll come back for support later in few months

You’ve got this! I know from first hand experience how hard it is leaving a partner behind after each visit, and at the same time I also know from first hand experience how important it is to set yourself up for success if you decide to move to the US in the future.

Wishing you all the best!

Step 1 : dont stay on ESTA over 90 days

Step 2: Dont forget Step 1

Everything else does not matter

even if ESTA is revoked, you can always apply for visitor visa or meet in mexico/canada.  It is not end of world. you will be fine

I’m still a little worried but I’ll aim for December and for shorter amount of time
