Hey Visa Journey. I’m curious what the timelines are to receiving a receipt to the extension of the I-751. I know receiving the removal of conditions takes quite a while but how long after they receive the application do they process the receipt?

I filled a little late in the 90 days window - sent on December 30 2023 and my CR1 expires on January 23 2024.

thanks for your help and advice,

okay thank you everyone. Does any of you know what happens or what you recommend if I don’t receive the letter before the expiry date on my CR1?

Not much, you won't have a proof of status for some time until you get extension letter. It doesn't mean you aren't LPR anymore, you remain to be a permanent resident.

hey Deb. Did you file your I751 to the Illinois office? If so, Mine was delivered/received by immigration on Jan 2 too - so I imagine we are on the same timeline. Haven’t got receipt yet
