Vaccine Exemption on Religious Grounds (split)

Hi @spikes746, my fiancee is having her medical done soon in her country and is going to refuse the required vaccines for the AOS. She's coming here on a k1 visa and we plan to file the i-601 with the AOS. My trouble is, in 2021 she (against what she wanted but needed to in order to have a job and support her younger siblings because both of her parents passed away) was given the COVID vax. Her and I very much do not want her to have any more vaccines and I'm trying to find help on filling this, especially since she already got a vax. Can you message me about what you included in yours to help me out with this? I don't know where else to go for help besides lawyers but I barely have enough money out of pocket right now to get the i-601. Your help would be very much appreciated, more than you know. Thank you.

Hello, im currently going through this and your journey gave me some insight. If possible could you please forward me the info you sent the others who replied. I have done my medical, i'm waiting for interview, I need to file i601 and arrange my medical. How long did you wait for i601 approval?

Hi @MePam, I had a friend who's fiancee was approved 1 1/2 months after filing her AOS and i-601 together. Hope that helps. It depends on your country but things are getting faster now. I've been through the K1 process with my fiancee and a lot of people agree things are getting faster.

Are you planning on filing on religious grounds? From my experience and others' reports on the i-601 process, it would be very unlikely that she would be approved for a waiver on religious grounds due to her getting that shot in 2021. Only if she can clearly articulate a change in religious beliefs/convictions after that date would they be likely to approve it.
