Our case is US Citizen sponsoring mother from Russia for Green Card.  Our case approved, but we cannot get interview.  Moscow embassy is closed.  Russians not allowed in Poland.  Mom had to get official documents like marriage certificate police certificate, how long are they good for?  Because it took so long to transfer to Kaz, and I'm not sure if we can even get an appointment, but are the docs still good?  It seems like no one can answer.

As far as I know, Almaty is taking IR-5 cases from Russia which looks like yours is. How long ago did your mother get the official documents?  Usually, things like marriage certificates are valid for a very long time. I am not sure about the police certificate, hopefully, someone can chime in for that.

Why can you not get an appointment?

I am in a CR-1 process and will probably get assigned to Warsaw once my time comes (more than a year from now) if cases are still handled in Warsaw, so like many, I am watching how people get to Warsaw like a hawk, as many have had difficulties even with Schengen.

Difficult to find an answer to this. I saw some people say "6 months to 1 year" validity, but others say it depends on each country. Have you tried emailing the embassy to see what they say?

Marriage, Divorce or birth certificates from Russia have no expiration date. The document is valid as long as the fact (it is issued for) stands, and you can apply for a replacement any time if needed.

Also there's no expiration date for the translations, don't forget about those.

Police clearance certificates from Russia and other countries, your mom resided for 6+ months after her 16th birthdays, are valid for a year for the Embassy in Kazakhstan (even for 2 years for the Embassy in Warsaw).

Also your mom needs to upload your original birth certificate with a translation to NVC and bring it to her interview later.

just wondering, to reschedule an interview in poland, is this the right email?

support-poland@ustraveldocs.com

it auto replies and sends me to a basic visa website in Poland, i don't think they understand that i want to reschedule,

seems like they think i'm a first time visa applier,

or should i wait the 1/2 business days, (as the first of the two emails says)

thanks
