Hi everyone! My Mary had her interview on August 3rd, and she was not sure shen she left if she was approved or not. She said the woman smiled and gave a wink, but she wanted to hear the words confirming it. Not to mention, I wanted to hear the words also. I called the Department of State and they confirmed that she was approved and that she was issued her visa.

So for those that are usure as to whether your SO passed or not, all you have to do is call DOS at(202) 663-1225. Give them your MNL# and they will answer your question. This will save you some anticipation in waiting for Delbros to deliver to find out if you were approved or not. Hope this helps all of those with upcoming interview dates.

Eddie

Maybe. Or, maybe not. I know others (like ourselves) who did not receive any help from DOS. In fact, during the three-week pergatory waiting for visa-release, the DOS wasn't even sure if my wife had in fact showed up for the interview! Seems like every different government agency computer system can say something different.

The computer at the USE and the computer at DOS are supposed to show the same information. I do not know why they did not help you, but any entry made in the USE computer pertaining to a persons petition, is supposed to show up on DOS computer.

Congrats to you both! :dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs:

P.S. When are we going for that beer? lol

Thanks, you let me know know when you want to go!!!!

Congrats and thanks for your feedback. It gives me hope that we can get this completed yet this year. It will be tight for Marnelle and I.

For everyone else, I had an ex girlfriend that I brought back with me on one of may vacations two years ago. I attended her interview up until the time she went in for the last round. If the Embassy does not give you back your passport this means you are approved. You are then sent to another area to finalize the payment for them to send you your Visa in less than 5 days. It is fast after they have your passport. Good luck to everyone!

Not necessarily true.

Just means they weren't outright denied in some cases.

LOTS of times USEM keeps the passport. Have you pay Delbros and they are put on AR for indefinite periods.

Some over a year and still waiting.
