Hello dear community,

Perhaps you can help me understand the following:

We are doing the visa process for wife and 2 step-kids from aborad (israel), it is IR1/IR2 visa types.

The kids (17, 21) will ask for  Vaccine Exemption based on relgious / moral grounds

We are at the stage of submitting all the sponsor and civil documents.

From what I understand they will be asked to file the i-601 after the interview or after the medical examination ?

Should I go ahead and file it now already or must I wait until required to do so?

Thanks!

Won’t the 21 year old age out?

They can’t ask for a waiver until the visa is denied for an incomplete medical.   The waiver will add an extra year to the overall process.

do you think I get ahead by filling the i-601 now instead of waiting for the incomplete medical?

Reread the replies.   No.  It will not be accepted. Even if it was placed on the file,  a new one will be requested after the application is denied.
