NBI Clearance

I have NBI clearance in handy from 2004, what i do is I renew it when i need it.. but this time when im checking on it, noticed my address isnt correct... My unit number isnt right, instead of D-3B, it says O-38 in my NBI clearance.. will it cause problem? should i just get a new one from the Main NBI clearance center (Carredo)? Im just planning to renew it in their kiosk here in Makati Square.. Thanks!

better to get a new one to be sure. anyway, nbi processing is easy and fast now. you can even get it done in one day.

hi jj..better to have a new one..you can call NBI hotline, to check if you can have it in Makati Square..I remember when I renewed mine in Megamall, i heard this guy there asking one applicant, for change address..so, just double check it so you will not experience that long line in Main Office..

You can still renew your passport at those kiosks they have at the malls, they are going to ask you anyway if you wish to make changes with the details like addresses.

Oh ok, I just found out that I know where Makati Square is. I only have the photocopy of the previous of the NBI clearance issued last year and it's still clear. Would it be ok to just show the photocopy? I checked NBI website and they said the barcode should be clear and they didn't state if it should be the original copy.

hi dj1206 Im not sure if photocopy will be ok, dont u have the original clearance? It's in Makati Park Square I, sorry u might get confused coz there's also Makati Cinema Square and i didnt clear myself out in that... Im dropping by the kiosk tom or the day after tom, I'll ask if photocopy will be ok too.. will keep you updated.

I already went there to nbi kiosk at glorietta. Sadly, they won't accept the photocopy. I don't have the original anymore. I'll just go to NBI carriedo soon.

oh, its not as hard as it is before to get clearance anyway... but id like to save a trip to carriedo if kiosk at Makati can make the changes.. Good luck, take care... dont bring valuable belongings

Yes you will definitely need a new NBI.

They are dated upon the certificate as you will see if you look.

Upon going to the interview, they have to be good for 6 months according to the CO's in case something hapens and your Visa is delayed such as AR and the like.

So it is best to get a new NBI as close to the Interview as possible, and no they do not accept photo copies, originals only as you have now seen. Same at the Interview.

They will need ALL Originals at the Interview.

yesterday i went to NBI kiosk in Makati Park Square and see if i'll be able to renew my nbi clearance w/ address change and i was able to, whew at least i wont be going to the Main clearance center in Carriedo, kiosk can make changes on the address and if name is mispelled, or birthdate is incorrect and birthplace you really have to go to the Main clearance center.
