Help with citizen application: Have you EVER been removed, excluded, or deported from the United States?

Hello!

I am filling application for citizenship based on marriage (I am currently in the states, and have GC for 10 years).

While filling, there was a question I would rather have your opinion on how to answer. Many years ago, before we got married, I had been "denied entry" to United States. Then we married, I moved here with my husband (USCitizen).  I was not excluded, removed or deported in this wording, but denied and I am not sure If by any chance denied means any of these? Yes and no is only answer. I thought no, but I just want to be sure...

"Have you EVER been removed, excluded, or deported from the United States?"

"Have you EVER been placed in removal, exclusion, rescission, or deportation proceedings?"

Please could you advice

Thank you so much

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
