Dad got I-130 approved first, now what?

Hello! I tried following the FAQ pinned but the link to the USCIS FAQ seems to not exist anymore.

 

My dad’s I-130 got approved today, but my mom’s is still pending. Can we wait for my mom’s to be approved before we proceed with next steps for my dad’s? 
 

Also, I do apologize if this question has been asked repeatedly. Do I need to file more documents after this first step, or can they set up an appointment already at the local embassy to apply to be an immigrant? 
 

if there is a step-by-step direction somewhere please link me to it. I appreciate all of you for answering my questions!

1.  Wait until BOTH I-130s have been approved and sent to NVC, then 

2.  Submit fees and documents for both cases.

3.  Once you have the DOS case number for BOTH cases, Contact NVC and the consulate and request they be interviewed together.
