Need advice regarding issues with N400 & long delay

Hi all,

I am new to this forum.

Quick Background - I got my GC back in 2017. Applied for Naturalization in March 2022.

We are contractors with the Military and have resided abroad since 2013. I have applied under 319b. I submitted the n400 online.

Got a request for submitting fingerprints from USCIS by April end 2022. I could not do that and ended up submitting them in May 2023.

It said in June 2023 that processing had resumed on my application.

Now, I'm in a long wait for that interview. I will have to fly to the States whenever that happens.

Question is...When I recently scrutinized my submitted N400...i see some flaws...and I am freaking out...

1. Part 2, question 13..my crosses on the "no" are missing

2. Part 8.. didn't write "unemployed"..left area blank

3. Part 9.. time outside the US..left the area blank because we've been outside for years now

4. In 2022, we had one child. Now we have two...so the baby's information is not on the form.

5. Part 11, question 13 (unlucky 13 again!!) has my crosses in front of "no" missing!!

What do I do?!!!! Help.. (in tears)

Hi all,

I got my GC back in 2017.

I’ve been reading in a couple of places that applying via the DC office is recommended s they have seen cases like mine/ military related. Should I move my case at this stage because it’s been way too long!!

Are you sure your N-400 wasn't denied?

Missing biometrics appointment deadline by over a year could have resulted in denial. I wouldn't believe the online status 100%. I'd file FOIA to find out what's going on with the case.

Thanks @OldUser I just filed a FOIA! I didn’t know I could do that. Hopefully I’ll know more soon. Let me know if you or any one has other steps or suggestions I could follow.

Let us know if you get some more insight after FOIA results are available. Good luck!
