Hello everyone🌈

My boyfriend and I are getting married soon and neither of us will be changing our last names

I am Spanish so I have 2 surnames (one from my mother and one from my father)👨‍👩‍👧

Will having two last names be a problem when doing the Green Card process?🤔

Is being married but having different last names a red flag?🤔

Thank you❤️

Will having two last names be a problem when doing the Green Card process?🤔no problem at all. when my wife went through the process she used both surnames as one last name, no hyphenation ( perez martinez). all her documents are like this: first name: Marcela   last name: Perez Martinez

Is being married but having different last names a red flag?🤔 We never changed our last names, only in the way indicated above. She is a citizen now.

congratulations on your upcoming wedding

Agreed with everyone above. It’s not a requirement or proof of bona fide marriage. Although I did change my name upon marriage (mostly because my maiden name is hard to pronounce as opposed to my husband’s last name), I know plenty of people who haven’t changed their names and went through immigration just fine.
