My father filed my GC petition under F2B category and recently he became a citizen automatically converting my category to F1. I requested USCIS to retain my F2B category under CSPA and they agreed. Now I want to go back to F1 category as it is faster than F2B, can I request them to convert me to F1 category?

F2B filing date - August 2017 ( my PD)

F filing date - 01 sept 2017

Currently F2B has been stuck at January 2017 since 1 year, I want to move to F1 so I can become eligible for filing and start my processing early.

Where are you now? In the US or your home country?

Forget that 2017, so 2015 to file to adjust.

What is your current status

So you are planning to hang for a few years in Student status until you can file to adjust.
