Hi, sorry what is the I-751? and what is NBC? sorry, still new to this.

I have had my green card since 2009 and will expire in June 2019...If the timeline is correct, looks like my 10 year green card will expire before completion of the N-400 process :(

Don't know what I will need to do then.

I-751 is used for spouse's GC conditions to be removed. It's a required process before applying for N-400. But I see you fall in to different category.

NBC is National Benefit Center in Missouri where I-751s get reviewed before sent to local office such as Houston for a possible combined interview for I-751/ N-400.

You can get an InfoPass appointment if you are cutting close to the deadline like 90 days before expiration day for your 10 year GC. I think they can give you a stamp on your passport in case the GC expires and you have to travel out of country.

Congratulations! What are you using to study for the interview?

Study?

I started doing the Civics online questioning 2+ years ago, many of the questions are just common knowledge

04/2006 - came to US as L1 employee

04/2010 - got married

11/2010 - submitted AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765)

05/2011 - Welcome letter arrived in the mail

11/2017 - Filed for naturalization (Online Houston office)

11/2017 - Biometrics

06/2018 - Interview (passed)

06/2018 - Case approved notification

For study material they must have sent you a booklet with civics questions to study with 100 questions. You can download apps or just google search it.

Thank you so much for the information, I truly appreciate it. I am the only one out of my family to be going through this process right now so I have been trying to research and find out as much as I can about all of this. I had downloaded the USCIS app to study questions, as @Timf79 said, they should be common knowledge but I was just wondering on the format or process of the interview.

The interview officer may ask about 3-5 questions from the civics booklet. They will ask you to read and write a sentence. They will approve if they think everything is normal.

Also, You will get an opportunity to change your name if you wish.

Congratulations! and I wish a speedy process for your spouse!

Hope you keep updating here and I will as well. From what I see is that Houston wait times are long but you are almost at home stretch!

How many of us are combo filers? I'm not sure if that helps us or hurts us.

To be honest, we are all in same boat and it’s very confusing, we didn’t get anything yet , just wait and stamp on the passport, god only knows what will happen in the future

I received notification that my N400 interview has been scheduled. Just waiting on the letter and hoping they will combine N400 with I-751.

Can I ask when did you apply for N400 ? And when did you apply for i751 ? Did you receive any online update
