They never asked to see any of the evidence that I had previously uploaded to support the application. I assume you applied online and had uploaded certificates etc? If so, if they were concerned with only seeing a copy of his BC, you probably would have received a RFE. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. All easily explainable.

Ps i was able to get a certified copy of my son’s birth certificate here

You should get a certified copy of your USA spouse birth certificate from the local jurisdiction that issued it (County, or State). In most cases you can order them online or by phone. Bring the certified copy of the birth certificate to the interview to prove spouse's US Citizenship for the whole 3 years of your residency.

My interview is on wednesday….so no time to get that.  I am hoping that the copy of his birth certificate and his passport should be enough.

If the spouse's passport is less than 3 years old bring any older out of date passport(s) as well as you need to show more than 3 years of USA citizenship.

Sharing an update that i passed my interview today!  Thanks so much for all help and advice.  Awaiting the oath ceremony notice now!

Hi, there are plenty of SS offices in Houston depending on where you live. The drop off box is just inside the building where security sits and I’m sure all the offices have drop off boxes. If you want to be sure, call the office closest to you

I will just go to the one you went to and drop off my NC and Passport card

Thank you!  I actually got my mother in law to turn her house upside down and find the original birth certificate.  But even though I took a folder full of all my originals….I wasnt asked to see a single document….not even one.  At least I was prepared!

Guys its been over 2 weeks and I havent gotten my oath letter - how long does it usually take to receive after a successful interview?  Is this normal?
