Thanks for putting the list together.

Seeing how other offices are way faster is frustrating.

By now I have forgotten everything I studied for the civics test...

04/2006 - came to US as L1 employee

04/2010 - got married

11/2010 - submitted AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765)

05/2011 - Welcome letter arrived in the mail

11/2017 - Filed for naturalization (Online Houston office)

11/2017 - Biometrics

06/2018 - Interview (passed)

06/2018 - Case approved notification

is Anyone here applied for N400 while I751 is pending? Houston, and do you think os a mistake to do so ?

I've applied for both. And no I don't think it's a mistake to do so. I have a pretty good case to be approved.

Hi Everyone, my wife is scheduled to have her citizenship interview.  She' been studying the 100 questions for the civil test.  I wanted to ask what kind of documentation do i need to bring to the interview? i submitted the application online back in January and uploaded the last 3 years of tax returns, joint bank account statements, and of course the green card/passport for the US citizen.

in the interview letter they mention to bring your marriage certificate, passport and the US spouse's birth cert/naturalization.

any thoughts on additional documentation that i should take with me?

thanks !

I am surprised (not in a good way) that January 18 filers get interviews consistently before November 17 filers....

Is there a way we can escalate this through Congressmen or there-a-like?

@Timf79, from what I have seen on other forums, the Houston office is currently processing February 2017 applicants. For whatever reasons, they also cherry-pick some other who filed later, like some January 2018 applicants you mentioned, at the same time. There are people who filed in August 2017 or September 2017, for example, that finished the process before people who filed in November 2016. USCIS says on their web site: We generally process cases in the order we receive them (emphasis mine). So, usually that's the case but not always.

What I'm trying to say is - I'm not sure there is anything you can do. Maybe somebody else has a different take on it...

I got my passport stamp 2 weeks before my extension letter expired. The process took about 15 mins. I doubt the officer will deny your stamp request since you're travelling next month but it all depends on the officer you get on the day. My officer scolded me for submitting my N-400 before I received my 10 year green card and claimed it could lead to a denial. I would be curious to hear if your officer does the same.

Don't worry, I don't plan on doing it but it seems like such an obvious loophole I would be surprised if others haven't tried it in the past. Of course some filers move states for genuine reasons and I'd be interested to hear whether this sped up their case processing time.

Unfortunately not, at least not for me. I filed my documents on January 2017 in Houston and had to move to Utah Salt lake City because I got a job here. I'm still in line for an interview. I was placed in line for interview on March 2017 in Houston and then additional on November 2017 I guess in Salt Lake.

After my bios, I got an update saying my case is being actively reviewed. It was at 26 months...and at least it went down to 23.
