I didn’t hear anything yet.  Still waiting for the interview to be rescheduled.  In my profile with the USCIS, they still project that I will obtain citizenship by December, but I don’t believe it.

Have any of you tried to contact the field office. They said if you haven't heard anything in 60 days to contact them. I sure would. Put in service request. Each of you should call state senator. Imagine all ya'll call to complain you been waiting all this while so that means you don;t get to vote. Contact them tomorrow. Ring that bell.

On another note if anyone was thinking about applying for passport do it. My husband applied for his August 27th. We received Passport this past Wednesday the 23rd and his Passport card came Friday the 26th. Still waiting for Certificate back. Next mailing is Social Security office.

Since we are in Houston I didn't realize we had one of the main passport producing offices right down town so wait is fast fast.

Good news for me and maybe a sign of good news coming to others...  I just received an invitation for a rescheduled interview for my N-400 application in Houston field office.  I had previously been invited with an interview date of April 14, but that invitation was cancelled and now rescheduled.  My most important reason for becoming a US citizen was to vote against Trump.  This interview will be too late for that, but I am still happy I will get it done.

I was due to have my biometrics taken on March 26, but the appointment was canceled due to COVID restrictions. The ASC reopened last July, and after waiting for more than 90 days without a biometric rescheduling notice, I called USCIS on December 1(this was after emailing them last October using my USCIS account and receiving a generic response).  The agent I spoke with put in a service request, gave me a referral number, and told me to expect to hear back from them within thirty days.  Yesterday, I received the following email from USCIS:

"U.S. Department of Homeland Security
USCIS
810 Gears Road Suite 100
Houston,TX 77067

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Type of service requested:
 -- Fingerprints/Biometrics

The status of this service request is:

Thank you for contacting USCIS concerning the above-referenced N400 application. Below is a summary of what we have found and how the issue has been resolved or additional actions required.

USCIS has reviewed your request for a fingerprint  appointment. You are in the scheduling queue and will receive a new appointment notice when a date become available.  At this time, no further action is required from you.

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received.  We hope this information is helpful.  If we may be of further assistance, please let us know."

Please has anyone who filed a petition during the COVID restrictions had their biometrics taken since the Houston Southwest ASC reopened in July?

I have been on this thread since August at least, but just created my A/C to respond. From all my research, Houston seems one of the slowest moving regions right now. I am an April filer and have been following other threads on VJ, and it appears all other major metropolitans (NY, Chicago, LA) are moving faster than Houston.

Based on your filing date, your case may move faster but I wouldn't hold my breath if the filing was April or later. I have also approached USCIS (email, Tier 1 call, waiting on Tier 2 call) but increasingly believe those timelines are purely theoretical now and not actual deadlines they try to keep.

Thanks for posting :)

I can't wait to be done with this process. The pandemic didn't help certainly but USCIS has for sure been frustratingly slow in metropolitans even before that.

I am awaiting my biometrics notice. My greencard was through my employer (and I have been a green card holder for 5 years now) so my GC biometrics were sometime in early 2015. Not sure if they can reuse that or not.

Yesterday was the formal 7 business day cut off for Tier 2 agent to call me and, as expected, I didn't get a call back. I will be trying to reach USCIS now to follow up.

Ya this so long time to wait for biometrics and I think you can solve it by following up

May be they can still use your bio from 2015, I read today about someone had his bio in 2013 and got a reused notice

this group seems quite so my guess is Houston is also moving faster now than before, or may be not many people are filling anymore in Houston in comparison with 2019 and 2018
