Congrats everyone!

I believe I've figured out why my scheduled oath on July 6th was cancelled. I'm requesting a name change and perhaps a judge wasn't available to conduct the oath.

Someone on the facebook group with a name change in Houston had mentioned that their ceremony was conducted by a Judge on June 25th and was strictly for name change applicants.

Anyone with a name change still waiting for their oath to be scheduled?

My N-400 application for citizenship interview was scheduled for April 14 but got cancelled. I understood that the field office in Houston (Gear Rd) would reopen on June 4th. I have not received a new invitation. Does anyone know whether the field office is open? Are they sending invitations for interview? Anyone here that had a de-scheduled interview that has heard anything about a new date?

My timeline:

N-400 filed - Sep 24, 2019

Appointment for Biometrics scheduled - Sep 28, 2019

Biometrics appointment - Oct 17, 2019

Interview scheduled - Mar 10, 2020

Interview date - April 14, 2020

Interview descheduled - April 1, 2020

Hello, new member here. Has your citizenship interview been rescheduled since the deschedule? Has anyone that was de-scheduled been given a new interview date? Is the Houston office even conducting N400 interviews at the moment? I was de-scheduled right before the shut down and have heard nothing since they re-opened.

Hi Janet - I have not heard anything and my interview has not been rescheduled yet. Very frustrating, I had so hoped to be able to vote in November, but I think that is out of the question now.  Paul

Sorry about the last post. I clicked on quote and didn't expect it would obscure anything. My initial question is re-posted below. Sorry for having to duplicate.

Oh glad you were able to read my initial comment. I already created a duplicate post. Thank you for responding. At least i know i am not the only one. I initially thought they were interviewing and just forget about my case. I feel better now. Yes, i doubt we can vote in November

Some positive news. Someone who's interview was descheduled on March 18 just got an interview re-sheduled notice for September 9. I saw this on another immigration forum. The person was originally scheduled for March 31 and filed in August 2019 so it looks like they have started rescheduling.

So weird how they do things like they just forgot all the cancelled appointments. Glad to see they are getting back to that.
