I got N400 approval and green card production alert for the ROC yesterday.

My congressmen has been really good, he updated me on the approvals before USCIS did on both cases.  Based on their replies it sounds like his office was pushing them.

I also got the I-751 NOA2 today and it came from the national benefits center in Lee's Summit, MO.  I am thinking the delay was that my I-751 was sitting there.

That's really great. At least you will have 10 year card to have no more extension letter until all this madness is over.

I'm hoping not to get a congressman involved. It's only been 37 days. I just want either approval or send the blasted N-14 so a decision can be made.

Also my case really points out the risk of doing a combo.  I was 2 months away from getting my I-751 approved after the CSC transferred to Nebraska; now I waited 4 months extra on the N-400 side plus all the stress of the cases being stuck in a blackhole and the extra time with no physical green card.  I don't mind waiting in line for my turn but blackholes are stressful as you think there might be a problem.

Yes, I am very happy having the physical green card coming as we wait for the oath.  No one understands that letter and it is written in a confusing way.  A mortgage company refused to accept it so i had to go with our bank, the SSA would not take it to remove the work authorization print off my card and i couldn't use the automated machines or GE for immigration.  Plus CBP would send me into secondary 10-20% of the time.  I can't imagine having to renew your driver's licence or explain to an employer.

yes the lack of education of those that should know these documents is scary. Well congrat's to you. Well hubby got the 1 year stamp good till next January so we shall see what happens in the coming months.

I would think all officers would get the cases that just need evidence or some other things and no interview like us. Even though updated evidence seems so futile at this point like good grief.

Hopefully all cities will do oaths like weekly to get caught up once we are back in business. Houston's oaths are 1 a month and can be 3000 to 5000 people. Long as it's before October 1st so hubby can register to vote will be wonderful.

Fingers crossed everyone stay safe and healthy wear your mask.

Has anyone who's interview was cancelled got a reschedule letter or a letter like some in Pittsburgh, VA are getting? I made a post about it.
Just curious about Houston right now of course.

Dear Naturalization Applicant:

The USCIS Pittsburgh Field Office is preparing for the day when we resume naturalization oath ceremonies. That date has not been set. But USCIS staff members are contacting applicants and legal representatives to identify naturalization candidates who are able to attend oath ceremonies as quickly as possible. The oath ceremony dates will be set with relatively short notice: within a few days, in some cases. Applicants will be chosen according to their willingness to maintain contact with USCIS Pittsburgh via email.

Please note that these applicants are those who have already been deemed ready to attend an oath ceremony.

Please also note that USCIS staff and visitors will be required to adhere to all appropriate social distancing and hygiene protocols.

A date for oath ceremonies has not yet been set. But we are preparing to continue our service to the public. We respectfully ask that everyone understand that COVID-19 requires that we all remain flexible. Communication will be essential to the success of this ad hoc process. We will contact you when a date is set for resuming ceremonies.

Again, please note that during this process, USCIS staff and the public must take all precautions to maintain social distancing and proper, anti-viral hygiene.

If you can attend an oath ceremony at USCIS’ Pittsburgh Office on short notice, please respond to this email at your earliest convenience.
