Today i had my interview in Houston field office and got approved  I applied on September 21st online and  and today ( Jan 29th) was my interview ,. I got green card thru employment not marriage

Hi everyone! I have no idea how to add myself to the list, so here are my details:

Today, after fingerpringing (March 21): FEBRUARY 2020

 

I get that filing times for Houston are long, but how are they changing that quickly in the space of 20 days?

Welcome Silvermoon. I will add you to the time line. Are you paper or e-filer? Do you have IOE or NBC receipt number?

 

Several people got their ECT pushed as well. A lot of people are confirming that these estimates are not accurate. 

It looks like Houston FO last interview requests were for Dec 28th, 29th and 30th, 2016 on Mar 20th, 2018. Hopefully they will start scheduling Jan 2017 soon.

Thank you! I filed online, and I have an IOE number.

 

I appreciate the info about the Houston office. Looks like the backlog is getting worse, not better :S I'm just so bummed. My friend got her naturalization July 2016 after applying to the Houston office only 8 months earlier. The suddenness and immensity of the backlog is incredible.

It has been a very remarkable year for Houston, hurricane, freeze, along with doubled petition.

GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

I do not think the country of origin will play a role, however I was suspecting that GC type (EB1, EB2) along with e-file online could have some preference 2-3 months ago. Unfortunately, there are not enough applications and people time lines to say for sure.

I will be very interested to check if anybody from Oct-Nov-Dec 2017 PD already received an interview request in Houston FO in the past month.

I was looking at the dark green filers on the list, and it looks like their applications only took 6-7 months! Does anyone know the stories behind these three filers at all? Did they have special circumstances? Or is it just some unicorn case officer in the Houston office picking applications out of the stack to fast-track? :D
