Yes, I-751 was transferred to local office May 5th got scheduled for N-400 interview few days after and I got text messages and emails updates.

Yes you are totally right, and I’m strongly agree with you, but hearing some people say that their process take more 16 months , make us appreciate 7 to 10 months process, anyway if you have any advice for us to make the process fast , please share it with us

I received my Biometrics appt. for May 31st, haven't received the notice in the mail but notice is viewable online already. I have seen in other forums that many print out their notices and do "walk ins". Has anyone here done their biometrics as a walk in at the Houston FO and what was your experience, if so?

Never done a walk-in, but my experience is that the Houston FO is very quick with processing biometrics. Both times I've gone in at my scheduled time and been in and out in under ten minutes. I think you should be fine to do a walk-in.

I filed I-751 October 2016 and N-400 November 2017, so far only got the transfer notice to NBC on 05/01/18. Nothing since then. You at least have N-400 interview notice, Happy for you! Please do share your experience post interview.

 I think the transfer itself is a movement, so let’s hope we gonna get something soon , I don’t know why they transferred the cases to NBC , do you think they have done with the background check?

Well on the transfer notice (for I-751) I got it says " as a standard process transferred to NBC." So I think NBC reviews all documents to make sure everything is there and the case gets transferred to local office for interview. Also to ease the workload for CSC, VSC and field offices.

I just got done taking my biometrics... I thought a field office and an ASC were one in the same until I looked up the addresses and they were different. That being said, I was scheduled at an ASC for biometrics 5/31... went in today, was out in literally 5 min. The ASC was the one in the Northwest Freeway if anyone is interested and there was literally no one in the parking lot as my husband and I pulled in and saw one lady walk in right as we were getting out of the car. Once inside, the same lady was the only one in the waiting room and already filling out her form. I just said I was scheduled for the 31st and the lady at the front immediately said Ok and checked my GC and ID and gave me a form to fill out. Filled the form out in 1 min or less and the lady that was in the waiting room had already been processed by this time. Turned the form in and immediately was led to another open room where I sat down and made some nice chit chat with the person processing me. Took the picture and fingerprints and filled out a customer satisfaction form and was on my way. It was literally THE BEST immigration experience I have ever had. I wanted to make sure to take the time to write this because everyone was so soooo nice and were even joking with me and my husband over who had the longest hair on the way out. Even the cleaning person greeted us goodbye! Super nice staff and we got there at about 1:20 pm and out 5 min later. As soon as I walked out, I got the text notifying me of the update. 

 

On my USCIS account, no update is reflected but on the case status online site, it states my case is being actively reviewed by USCIS and there is nothing to do at this time.
