K-1 Fiancée Processing Center Completely Random?

Hi,

 

I just sent my I-129F application on 12-04-2023, USPS delivered to Dallas Lockbox on 12-08-2023, and received a $535.00 Credit Card charge from "United States Government Agency" on 12-11-2023.

From here, will my application be sent to a random processing center (California, Nebraska, Potomac, Texas, Vermont) regardless of what my state of residency is (California)? 

Or is California (CSC) the only faciility that is processing I-129Fs currently?

Almost all I-129f are processed at California Service center with a small percentage going to Vermont (those cases that need an extra deep dive due to certain criminal background of the petitioner). Apart from those two, no other service center processes I-129F’s.

All start at CSC.  A very few get transferred to Vermont

It will be processed at California, unless you have certain AWA-related criminal history, in which case it will go to Vermont.

 

The random assignment of other processing centers is for other petition types, not 129F.

Where you do see I-129F processing times for other centers they are most likely from K3 cases that people in the hopes of speeding up their I-130's.  All those I-129f's get denied but probably skew USCIS processing time statistics is strange ways.

Yea.  So if you look there and see that Nebraska is processing I-129F's in 5.5 months, that is how long they are taking to reject I129F's from K3's that people filed along with their spousal I-130's.  A totally different situation from I-129F's filed for K1's so it's a deceptive comparison.

  My I-129F gets mailed tomorrow, to Dallas. I have zero criminal history, certainly don’t expect any fast track. I just want to get it in & start the timeline.
