Hello Everyone,

I have been filling out DS 260 forms for my parents.

Two quick questions:

1. I forgot to list all the countries where my father traveled in the last 5 years. How big of an issue will it be down the road?

2. I noticed my mom's form is different from my dad's. Is it a glitch? or has anyone experienced a similar situation?  For example, I cannot add her education or previous work history. The form let me type her current job only, the hyperlink "add more education or work" disappeared. it is so odd.

Thank you.

Tatyana.

2.  You probably marked a box differently on the forms.

Hi Crazy Cat,

Thank you for replying.

I am trying to figure out what I did differently. I do not believe I checked or uncheck any boxes. Which box are you referring to?

Thanks!

I'm sure you checked "Female" for your mom and "Male" for your dad.  There could be different questions on the DS-260 depending on gender, among other factors.

Hi Chancy,

Yes, I did. What could be the reason behind having different questions for different genders?

Only Department of State insiders would know the reason why the DS-260 differs the way it does.  Anyway, you can check the conditions for the differences here -- https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/DS-260-Exemplar.pdf
