Hi,

We finally sent packet of removal of conditions. Then what? Are we supposed to receive a notification that they received it? (the was delivered but that’s it). Let me know what the next steps are (besides waiting lol)

Thanks!

You will receive a receipt, and you will receive a 48 month extension letter.  The extension letter extends the expiration date (printed on your Green Card) for 48 months.  The letter, along with the expired Green Card, is evidence of your status as a legal resident.  They must be used together.

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the removal do condition packet. On average, how long does it take for people to receive their text notification that the package was received? Let’s say it’s received today, in how many days should I get the “received” text ??

Above was merged with an existing thread on the next steps after sending off I-751. Please do not start multiple threads on same or closely related questions.

If you attached the G-1145 form for an E notification, then on average 2-3 business days but it can also take longer or you might not receive a text. It’s not a guarantee and everyone’s case is different.
