Hi everyone,

I filled DS260 today but not yet submitted. It doesn’t seem to ask for any employment history. Anyone saw the same please? I want to make sure I have not missed anything.

Thank you all

Oh I see. It just asked for my current employment. Thank you though. This is already helpful 😃

If the start date of your current employment was long enough ago, the form would not ask for more.  Just answer what it asks.

The same thing happened to me when I filled it out a week ago - no employment history, only my current employer. They have already approved it, so apparently it was all good.

I think you mean by "they" NVC.  DS 260 is a "visa application".  NVC may have found it "acceptable" but only Consular Officers at interview can "approve" a "visa application".

You're absolutely right, I'm using the wrong terms in my post. Thanks for the correction, indeed NVC accepted my application/found it acceptable and I didn't have to disclose my employment history in that application.

But you DID enter at least CURRENT employment information.  To determine whether your circumstances represent any "change" would depend on how long you've been at your current job.  If work at the same place 20 years (for example) and you enter your current employment information, you also provided 20 years of employment history.  Please clarify for the benefit of the discussion.

Sure. I was only asked for information on my current employer, not all my employers in the past X (however many) years. I even went back and double checked before submitting, because I'd read about needing further employment history, but there was no question or fields to fill out for any employer but my current one.

@pushbrk

The form doesn’t ask me for the date of current employment (less than 10 years) but asks if I have other occupations and my answer is no. If this helps?

I understand why you're asking. I'm not comfortable putting any further details/actual content of my application online.

That's your choice but it would make your comments more meaningful.  I'm just trying to understand if there has been some actual "change".  For now, there is simply not enough information to draw any conclusion.

Your clear response does make it clear that there have been some recent changes to the DS-260  and they no longer require 10 years of employment history. ..a good step , as most questions are redundant repetitions of info on record via I-130’

Looks like the I-130 has also eliminated the 10 years past employment history and only asks for beneficiary “ current employment “ , although it ask for a start date.

Provide the beneficiary's current employment information (if applicable), even if they are employed outside of the United
