Getting ready to hit the submit button for my wife's online N-400 from here in Rowlett, Texas.  We filed her I-751 back in March of 2019.... still waiting for an interview (no RFEs, biometrics done in May 2019).  I hope she gets a combo interview soon.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

While getting things ready for interview I am curious if the Dallas office does oath ceremonies on same day of interviews if approved?

mainly wondering cause it’s hard to take time off work from my job and trying to prepare. :)

Hi would you mind sharing the date on your interview scheduled notice? I got online notification that my interview is scheduled but I don't know the date until I get the mail. I'm having a trip coming up in September so really hoping it doesn't conflict haha

I found out on July 29th online on the app and than I got the Mail on August 5 (literally a week later) .

hopefully u get urs soon and more than likely it will be sometime in September as I never heard of anyone waiting over 2 months after receiving the letter.

imo, I would postpone the vacation since this is something worth doing asap, but if can’t make sure u call them to reschedule but that is also risky.

but I wish u nothing but the best on ur journey ❤️

Pretty easy interview for me.

A mask is required to enter the facility. Once you enter, you have to show your letter to the security guard. He will have you put all your metallic things in a tupperware box and have it scanned, like at the airport.

You walk through a metal detector and then get given a numbered window, where they take your fingerprints and your photo, then direct you to wait upstairs.

I waited about 5 min before the IO came out. She had me swear that I would tell the truth, then gave me the test. She asked me a few questions and had me review my form. Then, I went downstairs and had my picture taken at another numbered window (for the certificate) and that was it.

By the time I walked out of the building and got back in the car, my oath ceremony letter was in myUSCIS.

Thank you, it's been a long road!

Not too much longer for you either, I hope :)

Nope, my IO was super businesslike and didn't want anything extra. I covered my bases and brought my IRS transcripts and evidence of a parking ticket being paid off, but she didn't want it. It helps that my case is pretty straightforward, so YMMV!
