Interview on 2nd February and still the Oath is not scheduled yet. Is it because of the weather conditions we had or  need to wait more for the Oath to be scheduled?

I know @bzbee had his interview in Feb too. Is your Oath scheduled yet?

The USCIS Irving office was closed on 16, 17 & 18th. Not sure about 15th, but I think they might have opened late and closed quickly.

Anyway, the closures definitely effected the interview and oath schedules. Oaths are held only on Mondays & Fridays at the Irving office. I think they are trying to fit in the cancelled oaths & interviews first.

My IO said I should be getting the oath notice in 2 weeks after the interview. You are past that window, but I am sure that is because of the bad weather. Hang in there, you will most likely get your oath update this week. I am praying I get mine too this week 🤞

It was closed on February 19th too, I had my Oath scheduled for that day so it was cancelled and rescheduled. I guess they are pretty much a whole week behind now because of closures and it looks like they are squeezing in people who were cancelled. I just got notified that my oath was rescheduled but I don't know the date yet.

I had an interview on Feb 11, and was told to expect the oath date in 2 weeks but it seems like it will delay for atleast 1 more week if not more...

Congrats for your Oath reschedule.

Thanks for the update, please post when you know your rescheduled date.

So they lost the whole week because of the storm, guess I won't be getting my oath date anytime soon..... back to waiting 😟

Someone posted a video of the Oath ceremony in Irving office, looks like they are allowing only 20-25 persons at a time.

Oaths are held only on Mondays & Fridays at the Irving office. Does anyone if they conduct only one ceremony per day or more than one?

I was able to retrieve my new oath ceremony notice and it was rescheduled for March 19. Exactly one month after the original date.

I hope you get your date soon!

I had my interview on 12/16 and was told the oath should be in January per the officer. I am still waiting for the date. No name change btw. My completion time changed from May to August after the interview. I filed on 02/02 though and I was wondering if the applicants with an earlier file date are prioritized to be scheduled for the oath ceremony since I have noticed some people were already scheduled for oath ceremony even though their interview was later.

Great news. You would've already been a citizen if it wasn't for that bit of bad weather. Just a couple of more weeks and you will be done. Congrats.

I haven't heard anything yet, but I've read on other forums that people who interviewed on Feb 1st and 2nd got their oath notices yesterday (27th), don't know the dates yet. I am 10 days behind them, so if USCIS keeps to the same schedule, I may expect an update in the next 10 days.

The time estimates disappeared from my USCIS online account once they updated my status to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled". Before the interview though, it was showing Sep-2021.

The IO told me that I can expect my Oath to be in late Mar or early Apr, and that I should expect a notice within 2 weeks. Well, 2 weeks is up but no notice.

You make a valid point. Several people who interviewed in Nov & Dec 2020, who are still waiting to be scheduled for Oath. So maybe they are looking at the overall time-line instead of just time after interview. All we can do is guess, hope and wait. Have you tried calling USCIS to get an update?

No, I figured I will wait about 3 months since interview and will try to call them then. I just know trying to get ahold of them is a nightmare. Hopefully I hear something before that. So far I have noticed people who applied in late December are going to the oath ceremonies or having them scheduled, if my guess is right, I hope to hear from USCIS within a month.

For what it is worth, I had my interview on Feb 10th at Irving, TX. Received the Form N-652 with "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for Approval..." On the USCIS Portal, it shows " Oath Ceremony will be scheduled". No progress after that till date. Will post an update if anything changes.  Appreciate all the previous posts and info from all! Helps in the wait!

Oath on 22nd March

Can anyone please guide me what documents do I have to take to the oath ceremony?

Also what documents to the Passport Office (Post Office) for applying for Passport?

Thanks!

Congrats. The interview was on Feb-02, right?

Looks people who interviewed during the week of Feb 01-05 are all getting scheduled for Oath on Mar 22 and 26th.

My turn should be coming up soon, yay!

For the ceremony,  read the N-445 Oath Notice carefully and fill up the required parts. It also lists the documents you need to bring, usually the Oath Notice itself, your Green Card (they will take it) and any other immigration or USCIS documents that are relevant to your case. Also have a valid state id (like Driver's License) with you. That's it, nothing else is needed - some people also take their current passport from the home country, but they do not ask for it.

As for the passport, all necessary info is available at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html

- take an appointment at your nearest USPS passport accepting facility on the same day as the oath or the next day

- fill up the form DS-11 and have the following:

  - Proof of U.S. citizenship (your naturalization certificate)
  - Government-issued photo ID (your driver's license, state ID or military ID)
  - Color passport photo
  - Fee payment (check or money order - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/fees.html)

Note: They will take the original naturalization certificate (so make a copy) with the DS-11. You will get it back when you get your passport, but in a separate enevlope.

Good luck!
