My husband filed November 2019, had his biometrics in December 2019 and USCIS website still says estimated completion date is March 2021. We're hoping to hear something soon about an interview since it seems quite a few who filed around the same time are having their interviews.

My wife was one month after and already setup for an interview end of this month. Good luck.... USCIS is catching up and you could hear anytime from now.

I am on the same boat as you. Applied in Feb 2020 estimated time May 2021. Do you count your time from Application accepted date or biometrics processed date?

From application accepted date.  Biometrics is just one step in the process, doesn't really affect the time line if you complete it sooner or later. A friend who applied a couple of years back had to travel out of the country after submitting his application and missed his biometrics appt. He got it rescheduled and got a date 6 weeks later, didn't affect his estimated end date at all.

Looks like USCIS is catching up..... My wife's application was submitted end of December 2019 and she got her appointment scheduled at the end of this month.

I really hope so. Thanks for another data point confirming that Dallas is now about 11 months from application submission to interview.

I don't think 11 months timeline for interview cannot be trusted. My wife's interview date is approximately 11 months from filing date, whereas my case is still pending interview scheduling (we both filed on same day). I saw in ***removed*** that some November filers are yet to receive interview date. That means it can vary 11 months -15 months.

It's been more than two weeks since my wife & son received interview date. I have filed along with them on same day and still waiting for mine.

Did anyone are in similar situation?

Hello, I am in the same boat with you. Same filing date, wife got the interview notice 3 weeks ago while husband still waiting. How do you speak to a live person when calling USCIS? The 800 375 5283 number does not connect me to a live person whatsoever.

I did call them on Monday. They cannot give a timeline for interview. I was able to get to a live person after multiple tries. The trick is to tell something to confuse automated system. Then it will not be able to match with pre defined questions in the system and will connect to a person. Say some long sentence like "I need to ask some questions regarding my interview scheduling delays."

Is your filed office Dallas as well and what is your filing date?

My wife filed on 01/01/2020, get the interview notice on 10/27, interview scheduled on 11/30, Dallas. It seems someone was able to live chat with a real person through EMMA as well. I cannot figure out how.

Wow, your wife filed almost 3 weeks after my filing date and already got her interview date. Let us hope we both get our interviews scheduled before end of the year.

Good luck to both of us. I still cannot get connected to a live person through the USCIS phone system. The 11 month rule seems to be the optimal estimation. The whole process is so opaque and there is nothing we can do about it.

Any Dallas filter who have completed interview and requested their name change within last couple of months got their oath scheduled?

My wife has her interview tomorrow and requested name change.

I heard name changes will delay oath ceremony up to 2-3 months in Dallas.

If the delay is too long, she want to skip name change via USCIS and instead change via county court at a later date.

Hmmmm....it’s hard to say. My husband filed a year ago this week and hasn’t heard a word since he went for biometrics in December 2019. Maybe with a new administration in the White House things will get better. But as of right now I’d say the estimate may be close. Incidentally, my husbands timeline has shown March 2021 as his completion date since the beginning. It’s never changed. Good luck to you !
