Hello,

Those of you who already attended the oath ceremony in the Plano location, how many people attended your ceremony?

Reason I ask is because large gathering ban is imminent with what’s going on with the coronavirus outbreak. I’m worried mine next week will be cancelled.

Thanks!

N-400:

07/19/2019: Applied online

08/07/2019: Biometrics

01/22/2020: Interview scheduled

02/26/2020: Interview.

02/27/2020: Status changed to Approved. Oath scheduled for 03/18/2020

My ceremony was 999 applicants. I dont see a public health problem there after all no one is shaking hands jus seat side by side in an orderly manner

Thank you for your reply! San Jose and Boston cancelled their oath ceremony today, that’s why I’m worried that the upcoming oaths will also be cancelled as the outbreak expands greater.

My interview finally have been rescheduled for July 30th in Dallas after being canceled back in March due to COVID 19 of course. bummer. I would have been done by now ugh. oh well. just 9 days to go. I was wondering if anyone knows if USCIS does any same day interview and oat ceremony considering I would have to drive almost 300 miles one way just to get there?

No, no scope/chance of same day in Dallas is what I know as it is one of the busiest and backlogged field office. As oaths were already cancelled for months, you would be lucky if your oath happens within a month of your interview.

For being one of the "busiest and backlogged field office", there seems to be very little activity/information on this forum from Dallas applicants about their case status/progress.

It is silent now due to pandemic closures and hold but when things were normal, people were active on this thread if you look at past discussions!

The furlough is ahead and it will only get slower for us Dallas N-400 filers.

You are right. I filed at the end of Feb, and just after I got my bio done in March everything started shutting down. I hope my file gets processed before my greencard expires at the end of next year.

I read that there was some additional funding approved for USCIS (to be available from Oct 2020), so though there'd be no furlough?

Hey everyone ! Just found this thread thanks to someone else. My husband filed 11/23/2019 and had his biometrics in December 2019. Not a word since. I see now that some of you that filed in August of last year are now being called for an interview. Hopefully, as October/November nears his case will be adjudicated as well.  He got his 10 year GC last November prior to him filing for citizenship so we're not in the same boat as some who were waiting for a dual approval of I-751/N-400.  Good luck to everyone !
