The interview was on November 13th at which point we informed the IO of our upcoming trip and provided documentation. We asked to do the oath ceremony that same day or possibly that week, but for whatever reason our file wasn’t there—despite filing from Dallas.

I don’t think just ghosting the interview is acceptable. We’re going to try to print the notice from the USCIS portal and see if we can mail it from abroad.

You should have specifically requested for a more later date for your oath showing the officer proof of traveling out of the country within a month after your interview ... try sending it through fedex like some people suggested earlier ... I don't mean to sound negative but from what have read on here, rescheduling oath or interview with Dallas office is like requesting for additional wait time without no confirmed end time (maybe different now that things are moving faster but I doubt - considering numbers of applicants waiting in-line ... not even your Senate or Rep member can push for an earlier date for you ...).

They do same day interview for students and those who drive like 4 hours to the office (I asked for same day oath and the IO told me that)

I had my interview today at Dallas field office (in Irving). I reached there early for 1.30pm appointment & was called-in earlier. I was out by 1.45pm.

Female IO received me and asked lots of Yes/ No questions.

Asked me to write / repeat her first question : Where is White house? The White House is in Washington DC.

Followed by 6 questions which I answered all correctly. Submitted Insurance document to prove I'm still married. She approved me on the spot.

Questions asked :

What territory did the United States buy from France in 1803?

Who is in charge of the executive branch?

What happened at the Constitutional Convention?

Name one state that borders Mexico.

Why does the flag have 50 stars?

Name two national U.S. holidays.

This might be repetitive question related to Passport. Most likely I'll be scheduled for Plano Oath ceremony.

Do they collect passport application at Plano Oath Ceremony or should I plan visiting local USPS?

Also, what documents needed for Passport?
