I-751/N-400 Combo interview conducted this afternoon at the Dallas Field Office.  Appointment was at 1:00PM.  We were called about 1:30PM.  Officer wanted to see evidence from filing the I-751 until now.  He reviewed both our driver's licenses, bank accounts, credit card accounts, Cred it Cards, apartment leases (with signature page), Car Insurance.    He said, " You meet the requirements for I-751".  After the I-751 interview, he said "Now, we will start the N-400 interview".  He gave me the choice of either staying in the room or going back out to the waiting room. My wife chose to do the interview alone.    He then escorted me back out.  About 30 minutes later, the officer escorted my wife out to meet me.  She says she was asked the 6 easiest questions among the 100 possible ones.  Who is the current US President, for example.

I'm glad that interview is done!!!   Now, we wait for the oath ceremony!!!

Congratulations to you both!!! Been waiting to see this post😊

Has anyone gotten an oath ceremony letter yet? My husband got a combo interview in Dallas on 12/14 and was approved for both! It went fairly well, we were stressed out about the combo interview but the officer was great. Thursday 12/15 we were "in line to be scheduled for an oath ceremony".  It is now 12/19 and I have heard people usually getting their oath ceremony letter quick but we haven't recieved any update yet. I want to know ASAP so I can adjust our travel/return dates. Currently we will be out of the country till Jan 11, 2023. Excited for my husband!! Wooo we are almost at the end.

I saw your profile picture show up under the recent VJ approvals, and I got so excited for you guys, and I had to go find the post where you shared the news! I know the I-751 was taking forever, so I am glad to hear that you are finally completely done with USCIS. Congratulations to you and Mrs Crazy Cat!

has this happened to anyone else?

I went to the N400 + I751 interview yesterday. The whole interview went well, my wife was with me the whole time, the lady said she is recommending me for approval to her supervisor and should have something scheduled in 2-3 weeks (most likely in January). I got the receipt and everything.

Then, I get back home and I see on the portal that it says, "Interview Cancelled"...which is impossible since I was checked in and did the full interview.

No idea what's going on. This is super confusing.

For those following this bizarre situation, I got 2 updates:

1. Website still shows "Interview cancelled" under the N-400 case. No one from Tier 2 has called back yet.

2. Got a letter in the mail re: my I-751 that says "Because we also approved your N-400, you will not receive a new Permanent Resident Card. Instead, once you take the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization, which will be proof of your US citizenship."

It's a HUGE relief to at least have in writing that my N-400 is approved, even though it was tied to my I-751 case. Now I guess it's just a matter of waiting the 2-6 weeks until things update on the website.

Good news, now sit back and relax for the upcoming event to take oath.
