Thank you for the advice! Will do!

Be aware that you must submit your original Naturalization Certificate.....which the passport folks will return...although it could be weeks after you receive the passport.

I have had my interview Jue 4th, has been recommended for approval however for 17 days my status as Your case submitted for quality review based on the approval recommendation.

Today, I finally received an update on my case that oath ceremony notice was mailed. I was able to see that my oath ceremony date is August 22th. I was honestly hoping for July but this is also fine. I have some outside of the U.S. travel in October so this is the only thing that makes me nervous. :)

You can apply for an expedited passport, should get a passport in time. I know if you live by a passport center they do 1 day passports

Took my oath on 6/21. There was a chemical smell in the building so we ended up taking our oath in small groups on the lawn lol

I registered to vote the same day! So happy this journey is over for me. Now I will be filing for my mom!

Became a citizen 6/2024. Now filing for my mother.

Still waiting for my oath ceremony to be rescheduled since it was cancelled two weeks ago. Called USCIS to ask for an update and they said it's still waiting to be rescheduled, I asked to speak to a Tier 2 agent, they said no, I asked again and they hung up on me.

i'm kinda worried, the estimated time that shows on my USCIS online account now shows "your case is taking longer than expected" I applied in January. I filed electronically (IOE), does where one live(state of residence) have an impact on the processing. How can 1 reach out to 'em?

Local office stats are very important.   You are still in the normal processing time for Las Vegas cases (according to USCIS)

Yes - I believe it's still processed by your local field office, particularly if you have pending I-751. Your timeline is incomplete, so hard to tell why it might be taking longer.

Posted yesterday but my posts seem to have been deleted for some reason. Had my interview yesterday at Houston field office. My husband was allowed in too even though we had not been told it would be a combo interview.

Officer was very friendly and explained we would do I-751 interview first and then N-400 afterwards. She said she had already looked through the evidence for I-751 so only had a few questions - that part didn’t take long.

Then the N-400 - the civics test along with some yes/no questions and we were done. About 20 mins total for both interviews.

Officer explained she couldn’t approve N-400 right away as I-751 needed to be approved and then update in her system. Hoping that won’t take too long.

Unlike others the status of I-751 never changed to indicate it was transferred to a different office - still just says Case was Received. But the officer had the file and all the forms so maybe it doesn’t always update.

Just checked USCIS account and found that my I-751 shows as approved! No other changes of status like transferring to another office. Case history just shows Case Received in Jan 2023 and Case approved June 2024.

Now hoping my N-400 gets approved some time this week as well!

Has anyone else had their removal of conditions approved (interview waived) before they got their citizenship interview? Is this common? I thought they liked to do combo interviews.

Not unusual.  Many do not file for citizenship, they get approved eventually, with or without interview.

Hey guys, I had my combo interview for n400/i751 in nyc on July 2nd. The interview went really well, we were laughing and joking with the officer the entire time and he was telling me about the timeline for oath ceremony. He also told me that the piece of paper he’d give me would say a decision cannot be made at this time because he needs to review the i751 one more time and can’t approve the n400 without the i751 approved first. I’ve been waiting for an update but my status is still at interview scheduled for n400 and fingerprints applied for i751. Has anyone dealt with this before? How long till you saw an update? I’m getting super anxious

This is very common.  I predict you will see approvals within a few days, unless there are complexities in your I-751.  Congratulations.
