The father didn't file for the son another I-130 yet. The plan was to have one parent go and the other one stay. But given the situation at their home country (war), they decided both to go back to be with their son should something happen.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

That seems a really good reason for neither to go back.

I agree. But when they left to come here there was no war. Now their son is there alone and he is having serious anxiety and it is affecting him a lot. Added to the fact of no internet always for them to communicate. They need to be with him. It is a tough situation for everyone. But they don't want to just leave him alone there. If there was a visa for him to come here and be with them we would have pursue that option.

I have not heard of expedited biometrics bit they do not seem to take that long.

Being realistic I suppose relative to how long he has to go they will be back and firmly established in the US long before he is interviewed.

Ah, I see. Nothing they can do but wait, when the PD is current on Table B then visa processing will start (there still won’t be one available until it’s current on Table A though).

The applicant PD on his approved I-130 is August 3rd 2023. Below is paragraph B on VB for June 2024. Does this mean the fees should be paid now and submit the needed documents? Thanks

Yes, he can do that now as his PD is before that date, but he still won't be eligible for a visa, probably for a couple of years.

Assuming he does not age out

I guess I still don't understand the Visa Bulletin. He is eligible to pay the fees and submit documents, but he still might age out? I thought that if your PD was prior to the Visa Bulletin date AND you were under 21, you qualified to submit paperwork and the wait from that point wouldn't cause you to age out. No?

This is a COnsulate case, so the important date is Table A, when a visa number is available. Why they have such a long window prior to this to submit is well beyond my pay grade.

It would seem easier to say you can submit a month before.
