Will I be denied a B2 Visa for filling in a DS260 in 2020?

I am currently in the process of trying to schedule an appointment, which is currently unavailable, for an interview for a B2 visa. I intend to visit my sister in the US. In 2020, my husband had won a DV lottery visa and the prospects of going to the US were very high. We filled in ds260s for all family members. Unfortunately Covid happened, and even though the numbers became current, no embassy was conducting interviews. Will the fact that I had filled in a DS260 be a reason for denial? What can I do to improve my chances of success? I only intend to visit for 10 days. I have no travel history.

Not much you can do.   Show strong ties to home.  You wouldn’t be able to adjust through a sister anyway, so there’s that.

Thanks @SalishSea for the reply. What do you mean by not being able to adjust through a sister?

You would have no basis to stat legally in the US.

Your sister may petition you for an immigrant visa, but a visa won’t be available to you for maybe 20 years.
