My partner is Canadian and he wants to move here to be with me. He is a DJ and owns his company. Does anyone have any experience in relocating a small business like this?
We are exploring other avenues besides the K1 visa

Marry, go via CR-1.

Green Card holders can have their businesses established in / expanded to the US.

E-2 visa is probably not realistic for business like this (unless he has spare $100000+ to invest?) plus it doesn't lead to Green Card.

Thank you. That was actually helpful. What is a CR-1 visa?

Visa for married people. It's way better than K-1. With K-1 the immigrant needs to go through Adjustment of Status in the US (extra $$$$ and extra wait).

With CR-1, once immigrant enters the US they'll be able to work and travel outside of the US. Green Card arrives in few weeks in the mail.

I assume if your partner is a DJ that it's just him and he doesn't have employees? If so, there's no business visa available to him, I agree that CR1 would be the best route and enable him to start work immediately upon arrival.
